PIITB by JD Mets Updates   We have news this week     The Mets inked Sean Manaea to a 2 year, 28 million dollar deal. This deal includes an opt out after the 2024 season.    Manaea was once a highly touted prospect, so his expectations have been higher than the reality. Manaea does have some upside to be an above average starter. He pitched to a 4.44 era last year in 34 appearances. He was in an out of the pen, but finished the year in the rotation and performed well, pitching to a sub 4 era in that stretch.    I am not thrilled with this move, but it is one I expected the Mets could make. The Mets need another starter, and I am not sure they will go sign one with the intention of inserting him in the rotation to start the year.   If so the rotation would be: Senga Quintana Severino Manaea Houser   That is a weak rotation with the potential to be average.   PIITB By JD- Mets Updates   Happy New Year to all! While we are in the new year, MLB Free Agency is still at a virtual standstill. It appears to me that teams don’t want the players on the market. They are hoping their price will drop and you can get deals.    The Mets made a move today, inking former Yankee, Harrison Bader to a 1 year, 10.5 Million dollar contract.    Bader is an excellent defender out in Center Field and Baseball Savant loves him. He is in the 93 rd  percentile in fielding run value with 9 OAA and ranks in the 85 th  percentile in sprint speed. Bader has trouble staying on the field with a slew of injuries recently.    His offense is generally subpar with a career 706 OPS. However, he has a 936 OPS and a 153 WRC+ vs lefties in 2023. That is an excellent boost and much needed considering the Mets as a team had a 708 OPS vs lefties. That is an unacceptable number and this will help that.   This move means that Nim...
